Woman who accuses man of rape describes him as “the boss of my prostitution”
A sex worker from Kerry claims she was raped by “my prostitution boss” after trying to settle down on her own without her involvement.
The 34-year-old complainant detailed the professional and personal relationship she had with the 27-year-old defendant, after meeting her for the first time via the FabSwingers site.
When they met in November 2016, she was happy to have sex with him and he told her that she could earn four or five times as much as she earned and that they could divide the winnings 60 / 40 or 70/30 in its favor. . He chose a name for him to promote himself and he determined the services and prices.
“He was the boss of my prostitution,” the wife Kerry testified.
All the clients’ money went to her first, then he paid her every Thursday. The least she did was € 300 and the most was € 800 in a week – these are the amounts she was paid by him. She said he recorded the accounts on Hookers R Us letterhead invoice sheets.
She gave him the key to his rented house so he could collect money whenever he wanted. The complainant said that two of her brothers did small favors for the accused, such as a minor auto repair, and that her father also helped her with a small job on occasion.
Roisín Lacey SC for the prosecution said: “Sometimes consensual sex would be rough sex.”
The complainant replied: “Yes. ”
Ms. Lacey asked, “What if it gets too hard?” and she said, “I would ask him to stop and he would stop.”
“He pretended to be a client. He would give me money at the door. He was giving me advice on how to climb the stairs and which room to take him to, ”she said.
The complainant said: “He would draw up a rule sheet that he would have me sign.” She said she had to be available to customers every day. “If I drank at work I would be ‘taxed’, I would have to pay a fine – if I was drunk, if I was late for a client, I would have to pay (the defendant),” she said. .
She said that “red flags” had appeared where she would have to clarify it with the accused if she wanted to meet a friend and she said that she rarely had time to meet her family.
“I felt he was in control of a lot of my privacy,” she said.
She said he would show up unexpectedly at her house, get to his house, and check his phone and laptop.
She said she decided to set up her own online account to continue her work without the intervention of the accused, but that he called her at her home in early September, reached into her pocket and had took money that she had just been paid by a client.
“When he took the money, he told me I couldn’t go on without him. He deleted the new account. He broke my alarm phone. He broke my private phone. I started to roar that he had no control over me. I was afraid he would not leave me alone, ”she said.
She got two dash cams to try and record her encounters with him, but she couldn’t use them. She said the accused found them and threw one into the fire and it exploded.
On the day of the alleged rape, September 25, 2017, she came home around 5 p.m. and he came after her. She said he picked up her phone. She started to make a fire and was very nervous. She said he grabbed her and put her on his shoulders and brought her upstairs, threw her on the bed and raped her vaginally and anal. She said she cried hysterically and asked him to stop.
“I was screaming,” she said, adding that she was “in a bad state”.
She testified that he told her to be quiet about it and not to say a word. “Once I agreed, he dropped the phone and the key (for the front door) and left,” she said.
The case continues tomorrow before Judge Michael White and a jury of six men and six women at the Central Criminal Court sitting in Cork.
The accused denies the rape, sexual assault, the organization of prostitution and the intimidation of a witness.
