Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy team up in new venture with launch of TMRW Sports

Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy have a new business venture together.

The two PGA Tour stars, along with Founder and CEO Mike McCarley, announced Tuesday the formation of TMRW Sports, a new company “focused on building technology-driven businesses that showcase progressive approaches to sports, media and entertainment”. Television executive Dick Ebersol is also an initial investor.

“Tiger and Rory’s competitive spirit extends beyond the golf course, and both have a proven track record in supporting businesses that modernize the way sports are played, enjoyed and consumed,” said McCarley, who previously served as president of Golf Channel. Release.

According to a report from Golfweek, the group is behind a new series of tech-focused competitions for the PGA Tour’s top stars.

The new venture would feature a series of one-day events held in a non-green stadium environment. They are expected to be held in partnership with the PGA Tour and launch in 2024. More details on the series could be announced by commissioner Jay Monahan during the Tour Championship this week.
