Sammy Hagar details the inspiration behind his new venture

Samy Hagar recently joined The Hollywood Times for an interview and revealed what inspired him before embarking on his new venture.

Known for his tenure in Van Halen, Chickenfoot and The Circle, Sammy Hagar is also an entrepreneur who has proven that a rock musician can also be a successful businessman. Hagar’s business ventures include a brand of tequila and a restaurant called Cabo Wabo.

Hagar celebrates birthdays at her restaurant and throws parties called “Birthday Bashes”. Additionally, he uses his live performances and parties to promote your business tactically. In a previous interview, the musician admitted that he couldn’t compete with other companies in any other way.

In addition to its Cabo Wabo restaurant chain, Hagar founded Rum Sammy’s Beach Bar and Sammy’s Beach Bar Cocktail Co., which he kicked off with a rooftop concert. Recently, the musician presented his Sammy’s Beach Bar Cocktail Co. at the Sunshine State.

On July 23, the Red Rocker gathered with fans at the Waterstone Resort & Marina to celebrate the launch of their product in Florida. Speaking to The Hollywood Times, the musician said he saw his children drinking cocktails that were “trash” and decided to make his own and elevate the whole industry with its sparkling rum drinks.

During the conversation, Sammy Hagar said the following:

“It’s a little thing we call experience. I was doing nothing and the only people around me were my family. I have children in their twenties and thirties. And so, they drank these cocktails that they put in my refrigerator. I’m going, ‘Hey, what is it? This is shit!’ I tasted it and said, “This is crap! That was a few years ago, when these things were just beginning. So I thought, ‘Yeah, I guess you can improve something; I can.’

So having nothing to do, having an alcohol team, and you know I’ve been in the spirits business since 1998, I started putting together some ideas. And we designed the cans, designed the packaging, put the flavors together, and I said, “What do I like? “I want to use and make sparkling rum drinks.” And that’s how it’s different from spirit drinks; they were all beer based when you burp and get that kind of… I just wanted to do them and elevate the whole industry. And when I came out, I was just a guy; I don’t have a giant corporation, but we’re big boys.
