Retirees can now get a digital life certificate at the nearest post office: here’s how
Retirees and other elderly people will soon be able to acquire a certificate of life from their nearest post office, according to India Post. According to the official India Post Twitter account, “Seniors can now easily take advantage of Jeevan Praman’s services at the CSC counter at the nearest post office.” After publication by Indian Post, a retiree can obtain a certificate of life at their local post office rather than the pension paying agency or authority where they are employed.
According to the official website jeevanpramaan.gov.in “To obtain this certificate of life, the person receiving the pension must either appear personally before the pension payment agency or have the certificate of life issued by the authority where it served earlier and have it delivered to the disbursing agency. Instead of the nearest post office, retirees can also go to their nearest Jeevan Pramaan center to get their digital life certificate online .
Regarding this, the official Jeevan Pramaan website said for retirees that “The Indian government’s digital life certificate program for retirees known as Jeevan Pramaan seeks to solve this problem by digitizing the entire process of securing the certificate of life. It aims to streamline the process of obtaining this certificate and make it simpler and easier for retirees. “
One can get the contact details of his nearest Jeevan Pramaan center by simply texting or calling for free. Simply type in JPL and send it to 7738299899 from your mobile number or dial 1800 111 555. A selection of Jeevan Pramaan centers near the specified PIN code will be sent to the retiree. By selecting the nearest center from the list, a retiree can visit to get a digital life certificate or Jeevan Pramaan Patra online.
