FAIRHOPE, Alabama (WKRG) – A popular Fairhope restaurant will close this week. TexarBama BBQ owner Bradley Parmer made the announcement Thursday.
“I’ve been holding it back for a while now, but now is the time and it’s so good to let it out…
I say this with no regrets, pure happiness and a HUGE weight took my heart …… This weekend will be Texarbama’s last weekend at Fairhope, ”read Thursday on Facebook.
Parmer says he’s moving to Texas to pursue a new business venture.
“To all my family, friends, past and present employees, I could not and could not have done this without you! These valued people have been the building blocks to transform my restaurant into a successful business. For me, it has brought me closer to appreciating the people I depend on. I ran my restaurant not as a chef, nor as a restaurateur, but as a business owner. I’m just tired, overworked and want to enjoy what I’m doing and not let anyone, anything, or anywhere get in the way of what I love to do and make it feel like a burden, ”said Thursday the owner of the restaurant in his message. .
