North Walsham Post Office Removes ATM Due to Decreased Usage
The only post office in one city has removed its ATM machine due to decreased customer usage.
There has been a lot of speculation as to why the North Walsham Post Office pulled the machine last month, however, a post official has now explained that the machine was owned by Bank of Ireland, which left the UK market, and due to lack of use. .
The post confirmed that customers can continue to withdraw money and make deposits at the counter.
It leaves the city center with three ATMs, two in Lloyds Bank and one in Santander.
A post office spokesperson said: ‘Post office ATMs are currently owned and operated by the Bank of Ireland leaving the UK market.

“We are investing £ 16million to protect 1,400 ATMs across the UK.
“After careful consideration of customer usage, we made the decision not to replace the ATM at the North Walsham Post Office.
“Customers who have used the ATM in the past, however, can continue to perform a wide range of daily banking activities, including cash withdrawals and deposits, at the ATM.”
