Angela Kukawski, 55, was reported missing in Sherman Oaks on December 22, police said.
She was later found dead inside her vehicle in the 1500 block of Patricia Ave in Simi Valley.
“Angela was really the best. She cared about each of us and made impossible things happen,” the Kardashian-Jenner family said in a statement to CNN. “She will be sadly missed and we extend our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones during this most difficult time.”
According to the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office, Kukawski suffered blunt trauma and strangulation.
Authorities arrested Kukawski’s boyfriend Jason Barker, 49, on suspicion of murder.
Detectives allege that Barker killed Kukawski inside their Sherman Oaks home, put her in his vehicle before driving her body to Simi Valley and leaving the car there.
He was held in Van Nuys Prison and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has filed murder and torture charges against him.
Barker is due in court on January 12.
It is not yet known whether Barker has retained the services of a lawyer.
On Wednesday, Minaj took to her Instagram stories to post a tribute to Kukawski.
“The most hardworking, reliable, and kindest person you can know,” Minaj wrote. “You didn’t deserve this Angela. My heart breaks for your children. Rest in peace.”
Offset has also posted on its IG Stories.
“RIP Angie, honey, you helped me so much,” he wrote. “I have spoken to you every week, I am incredulous (sic) SMH prayer to your soul.”
